Psalm 141:8
But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.
During this time of "change" I have been frantically reading Psalms. I've read them completely through about 3 times (in a week!!) and now I am slowly going back through from the beginning and gleaning from God's Word the comfort that my soul needs.
The Psalmists had ups and downs just like we do.
It really is not a matter of "if" you will have a rough time of it, it is a matter of "when".
The choice comes when we decide if we will let our rough times determine our trust in, praise, and obedience to an Almighty God or will we let our rough times bring us down into the pit where we can do nothing.
I choose to trust. God has not left my soul destitute! He has returned my joy!!
